• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and actions taken within the app.
• Device information: Browser type, operating system, and IP address.
• Cookies: We use cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve Syllabus Wizard
• Process your subscription and payments
• Send you account-related emails (receipts, password resets, trial reminders)

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with trusted service providers who help us operate the platform:

• Vercel: Website hosting and deployment

5. Your Course Content

The syllabi, notes, textbook content, and citations you create in Syllabus Wizard belong to you. We do not use your course content to train AI models or share it with third parties outside of what is necessary to provide the service.

Your learning is yours — even after you cancel your subscription, you may request an export of your data.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law (such as billing records, which we keep for 7 years).

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Opt out of marketing communications at any time

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), Firebase Authentication, and Stripe's PCI-compliant payment processing to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by displaying a notice in the app. Your continued use of Syllabus Wizard after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
